Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be primarily tasked with maintaining financial records and statements, performing bank reconciliations, and carrying out audits for non-profit clients.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries.
Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy.
Prepare and maintain trial balance records.
Create and manage journal entries as part of the company's record-keeping practices.
Compile and present financial statements, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
Carry out audits for non-profit clients in line with industry standards.
Utilise QuickBooks Online for various accounting tasks.
Maintain knowledge of GASB and FASB standards to guarantee compliance.
Provide bookkeeping services for clients as needed.
Work collaboratively with schools and other educational institutions on accounting matters. Requirements - Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
Ability to prepare Trial Balance effectively
Deep understanding of Trial Balance procedures
Familiarity with General Ledger management
Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries
