Job Title: Program Project Manager
Job Description
This position is part of a team responsible for implementing new groups partnering with our client utilizing Medicare/Medicaid insurance. The role includes acting as a liaison to ensure a smooth and successful transition for clients. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with flexible availability based on customer needs (40 hours weekly). The role requires 3 days in Okemos and 2 days working from home.
Responsibilities
Facilitate client meetings, including preparation of meeting materials and review and update of project plans.
Identify tasks with upcoming due dates and follow up with responsible parties.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders on requirements and needs.
Drive planning at various organizational levels to ensure projects are on track and resourced.
Establish project governance and communication with stakeholders.
Ensure timetable and deliverable schedules are understood and communicated.
Manage dependencies proactively, coordinate across teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
Provide executive level updates on strategy, budget, project delivery, controls, and risks.
Organize required reporting for business and technology management review sessions.
Track financials related to technology expenditures, including software, hardware, and resource allocation.
Lead internal and external implementations and projects associated with government program business.
Serve as a liaison and subject matter expert between compliance, business, and information technology teams.
Evaluate, recommend, and oversee the implementation of new Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other clients.
Oversee and track the use and delivery of government program data and reporting to maintain compliance.
Perform other related duties as necessary.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
Seven years of experience in operational administration, servicing group health contracts, or project management.
Knowledge of the health insurance industry.
Advanced knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Ability to solve complex problems using independent judgment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience servicing Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or dual programs is preferred.
Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience will be accepted.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $43.27/hr.
