* Energetic, detail-orientated individual to provide operational support of internet and telephone services for all company infrastructure, including switching, transport, and access.
* Assist Customer Service and Installation & Repair Technicians as advanced support for trouble tickets and service orders.
* Perform Provisioning, turn-up and testing of all Network Elements ie Carrier Ethernet equipment, DSL equipment, FTTH equipment, and Sonet equipment.
* Install, and maintain services on the distriburtion network from the COE to the demarcation point.
* Perform advanced cable/fiber testing with appropriate test equipment.
* Perform routine maintenance checks of Central Office facilities.
* Keeps accurate documentation and updated plant records.
* Provide after-hours emergency support and to work off-hours as needed.
* Install and configure equipment or performance failure alarms on all Network Elements.
* Utilizes sofware to monitor alarms and set up alarm notifications.
* Maintains, trouble shoots, and corrects network equipment problems, systesm issues and escalate in a timely and appropriate manner as necessary.
* Work with other carriers to isolate and repair trouble cases.
* Perform switch translations for call routing.
* Keeps software releasees current on all Network Elements.
