The Great Escape Room is looking for a Performer to join our team. This person will be reliable, energetic, and outgoing
A Performer will greet the Game Players at the location and begin the immersion by performing and interacting according to the theme of the room they are introducing to our Players. Our Performers will lead players to the room while maintaining a character relative to the Game and extract the players when they are finished. They need to be able to adapt to the scenario and think quickly to ensure that every Game Player has an enjoyable and immersive experience tailor fit to them. After each room, the performers will reset the room for the next player.
The ideal candidate will be able to be comfortable interacting with people, have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and be able to adapt to different situations.
Responsibilities:
Play the part - We want our Game Players to have an exciting and immersive experience. Our Performers should be able to perform as a character and interact accordingly while orienting the players on the room. This includes:
Getting into a character
Thinking quickly to interact efficiently with Game Players
Wearing the appropriate Costume for the corresponding room, if necessary
Maintain working product knowledge - Act as a product expert to ensure information given to customers is accurate, up-to-date, and strategic.
Work Independently - Show a strong work ethic and ability to perform job duties and monitor multiple customer experiences.
Perform the character role pertaining to each room.
Repairing puzzles in instances that they break down if possible
Reporting broken equipment to the Box Office Manager or Lead Performer in a timely manner
Selling same-day tickets and T-shirts/The Great Escape Room memorabilia to the Game Players
Cleaning and completing janitorial duties as needed
Other duties as assigned by the Box Office Manager
Requirements:
Strong Customer Service Skills
Quick Thinker
Ability to work independently
Professional but personable
Acting/Performing Experience
Improv skills
Must be available to work nights and weekends
