We currently have an exciting opportunity for a competent and reliable Gardener.
To succeed in this role, you should be physically fit and able to manage small machinery. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional and possess in-depth knowledge of effective gardening techniques.
The responsibility of a gardener is to maintain the beauty of plants, outdoor grounds, and trees on a property. They perform a range of general maintenance tasks including designing, producing, renewing and preserving outside spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.
- Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.
- Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as plant vehicles, and small diggers.
- Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden.
- May operate a motor vehicle to transport materials and equipment, as appropriate to the position.
- May require heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of plants and gardening techniques (must have the ability to distinguish between a weed and plant).
- Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
