Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The incumbent will be responsible for a multitude of accounting operations such as account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the integrity of financial data through accurate reconciliation of accounts.
Confirm the accuracy of financial data through balance sheet reconciliations.
Verify the accuracy of transactions through the execution of bank reconciliations.
Manage the general ledger to ensure all financial data is recorded correctly.
Maintain accurate financial records through the preparation and posting of journal entries.
Use Microsoft Excel to effectively organize and analyze financial data.
Finalize financial records for the month through the execution of month end close procedures.
Employ Sage Accounting Software for various accounting tasks to streamline operations. Requirements - Proficient in account reconciliation, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
Experience in balance sheet reconciliation, able to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
Capable of conducting bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for.
Strong understanding of general ledger management, including maintenance and review.
Able to prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accurate financial record keeping.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, able to use advanced functions for financial analysis and reporting.
Experience in month end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.
Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software, able to use it for various accounting tasks.
