Description
Our trusted client is seeking a Sr. Accountant Consultant for a long-term project. This hybrid role is located in Novi, Michigan and will report directly to the Director of Accounting.
The day-today responsibilities include:
Conduct thorough General Ledger clean up tasks
Undertake forensic accounting to identify and fix unsupported Journal Entries
Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Leverage Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 Enterprise for various accounting tasks
Ensure smooth Month End Close processes
Provide assistance to internal auditors if required (not a must-have for the immediate need)
Participate in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) if needed (not a must-have for the immediate need)
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
Candidate must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of accounting.
Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must.
Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required.
Capability to handle Bank Reconciliations effectively is necessary.
Must have a strong understanding of General Ledger.
Experience in handling Journal Entries is expected.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to manage Month End Close tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Enterprise is a plus.
