Job Title: Construction Operator
Job Description
Join our team as a Construction Operator where you will work in a concrete block producing shop operating automated machinery. You will be responsible for producing brick pavers, concrete blocks, cinder blocks, and other construction and hardscaping materials. You will receive training on inspecting blocks, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting machines, and other tasks. Be prepared for physical work including shoveling dirt, concrete, and rocks, and working at heights. Training for this role may take up to a year.
Responsibilities
Operate automated machinery for producing concrete blocks and other materials
Inspect blocks for quality assurance
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
Shovel dirt, concrete, rocks, and other materials as needed
Work comfortably at heights
Support tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments
Essential Skills
Experience with construction, hand tools, and general labor
Knowledge of carpentry, production, and concrete work
Proficiency with power tools, tape measures, and shovels
Experience with landscaping, finish carpentry, and hardscaping
Ability to operate forklifts and perform demolition work
Manual dexterity and machine operation skills
Quality assurance capabilities
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Willingness to learn
Ability to lift 80-100 lbs
6+ months of construction labor experience (Masonry, Concrete, Asphalt, Hardscaping, Landscaping, Demolition)
Forklift experience is a plus
Mechanical aptitude for making repairs and troubleshooting

Work Environment
You will work mostly indoors in a loud shop/factory environment, but some outside work is also required. Be prepared to get dirty working with specific materials. The team runs lean with 5 people on each shift, and there may be occasional tasks in the outside yard.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.47 - $22.47/hr.
