GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the
health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator.
*This position will be supporting the Colon & Rectal Surgery clinics at our Columbus Medical Center (Novi) and Fairlane Medical Center (Dearborn). This
position will be HYBRID; it will be working one day from home and then a few days in the office. The hours are (4) 10-hour shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Position: 40 hours per week, no weekends or holidays
Shift: Days (4) 10-hour shifts
Location: Columbus and Fairlane Medical Centers

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
Preferred experience in the specialty.
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
