The Promotional Agent is the Bureau's representative to the Business Enterprise Program licensees and fulfills a supervisory role in the program. This position works directly with BEP licensees (legally blind clients trained by the BEP) to be self-employed managers of food service facilities. The PA monitors the licensee to ensure compliance with program rules and supports the licensee in running a clean and efficient business while maintaining a high standard of customer service and profit expectations. The position acts as a liaison between BEP licensees, local health officials, the Department of Transportation, and Bureau Management. Additionally, the Promotional Agent performs other various administrative tasks related to program function. This position's focus will be the southeast region of Michigan. Up to 50% of work will be completed in the field. Travel is required.

There is a possibility of a remote/hybrid schedule based on performance and operational need. However, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

One year of professional experience providing professional promotional agent services equivalent to a Promotional Agent 9.
Promotional Agent P11
Two years of professional experience providing professional promotional agent services equivalent to a Promotional Agent, including one year equivalent to a Promotional Agent 10.
Alternate Education and Experience
Promotional Agent 9 - P11
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
