POSITION SUMMARYThe Quality Manager serves as a member of the Leadership Team with accountability for the Quality Management System (QMS) compliance to AS9100 & ISO based business standards. This position supports internal engineering and manufacturing as well as external customers and suppliers. Typical activities include inspection, analysis, training, decision making, initiating action, continuous improvement, prioritizing responsibilities, managing time, creating reports and communication along with management responsibilities as defined in the essential functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) structure and complianceInternal and external QMS audit and maintain audit recordsCustomer complaint notifications and maintain recordsCorrective action status and reportingControl Non-conforming product and reporting of statusControl plan effectiveness and accessibilityExternal Provider approval and performance, report status and maintain recordsInterpret drawings, GD & T, specifications & technical standardsDevelop & maintain process failure mode effects analysis (PFMEA)Order, log and certify variable & attribute measurement devices used internallyConduct measurement system analysis / Gage R & RWork with the CMM Technician to determine fixturing and create CMM program Develop & maintain control plans / inspection instructionsParticipate in terms and conditions reviews, perform material verification and certification, final quality inspections before release of finished product, creation of certificates of completionPerform dimensional inspectionsApprove external providers certifications for material & special processesPerform gage calibrations & report gage statusConduct internal process audits & support external audit Develop & maintain work instructions relative to job functionsGenerate & maintain reports / records of inspections, evaluations, analysis & submissionsSubmit Certifications & preproduction reports such as (ISIR, FIA & PPAP) to customersSteward organizational culture with a focus on teamwork and commitment to service amidst a diverse colleague and customer base MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experienceFive years quality systems experienceExperience working with AS9100 or ISO 9001Experience with internal and external auditsAbility to use micrometer, caliper, hardness and surface testers, and indicatorsKnowledge of GD&TExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent computer skills and experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite is requiredAbility to work independently and efficientlyAble to quickly adapt/adjust focus, and problem solve within evolving work demandsAbility to adjust schedule to meet quickly developing needs of supervisor and other team members Excellent organizational skillsExcellent problem solving and decision-making skillsDependability and ability to work well with otherOther duties as assigned PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCertified Quality Engineer (CQE) certificationCertified in CMM programming and operation or 3 years of experience in CMM operation WORK ENVIRONMENT
