We are seeking an experienced Field Applications Engineer in the Mid- Western region. Primary location is Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky & Illinois. In this role, you will enhance the sales process and provide application specific support at customer locations including troubleshooting, initial equipment setup and technical demonstrations of hardware and software products and provide training and certification exams to customers, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.
How you will make a difference @ FARO
Apply FARO products as solutions to customer needs, within defined segment
Work directly with Account Managers as a pre- and post-sales technical resource for engagements with customers.
Conduct scripted in-person and web-based demos for FARO's suite of software and hardware solutions, within defined segment
Conduct both in-person and web-based standard customer training for a selection of FARO's suite of software and hardware solutions, within assigned segment(s)
Work closely with Customer Support team to solve customer issues
Attend trade shows and conferences as a technical resource and provide product demonstrations
Utilize Salesforce.com, per FARO's policies and procedures, to manage customer relationships, tasks and events
Travel within defined geographic responsibility, 75% or as needed, as required for customer visits, demonstrations, trade shows, company events and other cases
This position requires
Bachelor's degree in engineering,Software, Computer, Forensics or related criminal justice investigations, crash investigation, fire investigation fields, or equivalent experience
Experience working in a virtual 3D environment (CAD, CAM, CAE, point clouds, additive manufacturing, automation, etc.)
Excellent understanding of FARO SCENE and FARO Zone 3D Advanced Software
Ability to present technical information in an understandable manner
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated presentation skills with the ability to present technical information in an understandable and engaging manner
Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experience
Preference given to experience in one of FARO's primary segments - 3DM, Public Safety Analytics and/or AEC
