Shift Details:
- Hours: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday
- Pay: $19/hr, commensurate with experience
What You'll Do: As a Wood Mill Worker, you'll be at the heart of our creative process! Your skills will transform raw materials into stunning finished products. You'll measure, cut, and shape a variety of materials, all while collaborating with a dynamic team dedicated to quality and innovation.
Your Skills and Talents:
- Proficiency with measuring tools like tape measures, rulers, and meter gauges.
- Familiarity with hand carpentry tools to create beautiful wooden pieces.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and instructions, turning plans into reality.
- Expertise in measuring and cutting diverse materials, including plywood, MDF, hardwoods, and more.
- A discerning eye for identifying wood species and varieties.
- Strong understanding of quality control and time management to meet production goals.
- Mastery of routers, table saws, and sliding table saws for precise cuts.
- Capability to prepare detailed cut lists for efficient production.
- Basic maintenance skills for hand tools and glue pots.
- Bonus points if you have a general understanding of signage and graphics materials!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit parts with precision, ensuring every unit is perfectly squared.
- Install hardware and conduct fitting checks for flawless finishes.
- Apply glues, laminates, and veneers with expertise, followed by sanding and finishing.
- Utilize an array of tools, including power drills, nailers, routers, sanders, and saws, to create exceptional products.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety and efficiency.
- Embrace other tasks as assigned by your manager to support team goals.
- Adhere to all safety standards and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Physical Demands:
- Lift and maneuver materials weighing 50 pounds regularly.
- Stand for extended periods while engaging in repetitive tasks.
- Maintain focus and precision while handling tools and machinery.
