Management of accounting and bookkeeping for multiple businesses in various for profit and non-profit industries to record all financial transactions monthly using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintaining records according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) including the recording of all financial transactions from bank, credit card and other financial institution statements and reconciliations
- Applying strong accounting skills including journal entries and all bookkeeping through financial statement preparation
- Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures
- Payroll skills and use of common bookkeeping software ie: QuickBooks
- One or more years of office or bookkeeping experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail is absolutely required, as well as a track record of reliability, confidentially, and conscientious work habits
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapid changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures
- Demonstrated ability in dealing directly with clients
