Position Overview:
The Mastromarco Firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in civil litigation and personal injury cases. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and thrives in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case management
- Draft, format, proofread, and file legal documents in both Federal and State Courts
- Conduct client meetings and maintain ongoing client communication
- Utilize legal software and office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based tools
- E-file legal documents and ensure timely submissions
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive legal matters
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, court personnel, and legal professionals
- Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and trial materials
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Federal and State Court procedures and civil litigation processes
- Strong knowledge of discovery procedures and e-filing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based applications
- Excellent proofreading and formatting skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines with a sense of urgency
