Job Summary
The Welder II position is an intermediate welder level position. The Welder II position will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand-welding equipment. A Welder II position must successfully meet, complete and pass as a Welder I position for a minimum of six months. A Welder II position must successfully be held for a minimum of six months.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Connects two pieces of stainless steel by heating to a temperature high enough to cause proper fusion
- Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for assembly.
- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
- Produce strong, clean welds.
- Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Team Lead and/or Manager
Required Skills and Abilities
- A Welder II position must be completed as previously a Welder I position for minimum of six months and/or a minimum of three years’ experience prior of welding pipe
- Attention to detail is extremely important
- Advanced blueprint reading skills to read and manufacture accordingly due to customer requirement
- Basic knowledge of power tools ex. Maintain the grinder with cutoff, grind wheel and sand pad
- Prior experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- MIG welding and metal finishing preferred.
- Must complete 200 pipes at a 90% efficiency along with an onsite FPS weld test
- TIG welding required
Physical Requirements
- Must learn to complete welds with both left and right hands
- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, round, or overhead.
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be able to see details at close range.
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time unassisted.
