We are seeking a dependable and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry codes. You will also have the opportunity to lead crews, train apprentices, and take on responsibility for assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain safe, code-compliant electrical systems according to project specifications, contract documents, and blueprints.
- Report to the Project Manager and coordinate material and tool needs with the Project Manager or Warehouse Manager.
- Supervise small crews or manage assigned projects as needed.
- Train and mentor apprentices working under direct supervision.
- Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe.
- Use materials efficiently and plan ahead for material needs.
- Protect company property and equipment by preventing damage and theft.
- Accurately log work hours and submit required job paperwork weekly.
- Stay up to date with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and maintain all required licensing and training.
- Be available for occasional on-call emergency service when needed.
- Implement Excel Electic policies in the field including safety policy and company rules.

Qualifications:
- Current Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and efficiency in completing tasks.
- Interest in training and mentoring future electricians.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, and work at heights for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly.
- Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Strong vision (with or without correction) to see close details, read blueprints, and distinguish colors.
- Work in various conditions, including tight spaces, ladders, and scaffolding.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (may vary based on job requirements).
- Pay: Hourly, based on experience and qualifications.
