Classification: Part Time; Non-exempt hourly
Hours: Monday through Friday 4 hours per day; 20 hours per week; Evening and Weekend hours as needed

Overview:
The Donor Relations Assistant will provide organizational and logistical support to the fundraising committee and Executive Director. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, relationship ability, discretion, data entry and an ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This position will focus on key administrative support for the fundraising committee, help with or plan BWROC events, as well as maintain and update the donor database. Primary responsibilities are listed below.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and update the donor database and recordkeeping
- Help to plan and provide logistical support for BWROC events
- Process gift receipts
- Process special projects and event gifts
- Maintain donor files
- Manage the Executive Director's calendar as it relates to donors and events
- Coordinate and provide administrative support for the creation of the donor mailings and communications
- Respond to donor inquiries as needed
- Compile reports and material for presentations, including PowerPoint
- Maintain notes from fundraising committee meetings
- Send thank you letters/notes
- Assist when and where necessary
Qualifications:
Required
- A high school diploma/G.E.D.
- 1 year of lived experience with addiction directly or indirectly through an immediate family member.
- Knowledge of the substance use disorder treatment and recovery landscape; and
firm commitment to the recovery community.
- If not, Recovery Coach certified, must take the certification with CCAR or MDHHS within 1 year.
Preferred
- Experience working with nonprofits or charities in any capacity, preferably in solicitation or fundraising.
- Passion for recovery, the work of the organization, and excitement to help secure new and sustainable funding streams.
- CCAR and/or MDHHS recovery coach certified.
- Resourceful, innovative, optimistic, and flexible to embrace new opportunities, and the evolving needs of a growing organization.
