As our Member Relations and Office Coordinator in Lansing, MI, you will work in person to answer questions, enter data, and process financial information. Every day, you will handle day-to-day office operations and provide quality customer service for our membership programs.
In a typical day, you will likely…
- Answer 8-15 phone calls daily and assist up to 3 walk-in customers per week.
- Pick up, open, process, and distribute mail – log cash and checks into a daily deposit Excel Spreadsheet.
- Enter data into Neon database/CRM software including: log cash & check transactions, process credit card payments, manage/update contact information of members and donors, create and distribute reports.
- Print, prepare, and ship in-house Shopify store orders.
- Print and mail membership renewals, donation acknowledgments, annual convention materials, and seasonal education program information. Coordinate with the staff on these projects.
- Manage schedules of 1 staff and conference room, Zoom mtgs for staff and guests, occasionally make travel arrangements
- For meetings, events, and convention, collaborate with the staff to make copies, order lunch, and assist where possible.
- Manage record retention schedule and coordinate remote storage
- Order/buy supplies for the office and track merchandise inventory
- Oversee the operation of office equipment including printer, postage meter and paper folder, coordinate repairs when necessary
Occasionally, you’ll need to return recyclable cans and bottles to obtain their deposits, wipe down kitchen and bathrooms, and vacuum front door carpets.
Once per year you will be expected to travel with the team to our annual convention in areas around Michigan. We pay for your lodging and meals during the convention, and you will be reimbursed for mileage and travel meals.
Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC) is the largest statewide conservation organization in the nation with roughly 200 affiliate clubs and 40,000 paid members. Knowledge of hunting, fishing and conservation will be helpful. MUCC Organizational Objectives:
- Fosters a conservation stewardship ethic in the public.
- Protects the rights of the public to hunt, fish, trap and recreate outdoors.
- Encourages the public to connect to our resources through active recreation.
- Advocates for sustainable conservation practices and resource stewardship through sound scientific management.
You’ll work 40 hours per week in our office on the north/central side of Lansing. If you have a pet, you may occasionally be able to bring one with you if it is pre-approved.
