The salary range for this position is $68,400 to $72,200, depending on experience and qualifications.
Summary
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering company benefits. This requires accurate enrollment, addressing employee inquiries and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This includes being the primary point of contact for employees regarding their benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and process all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of employee benefits programs.
Effectively plan the implementation, administration and training of all benefit plans including annual open enrollment.
Ensure monthly benefit invoicing reconciled, approved and sent to Accounts Payable.
Effectively utilize the data processing system to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information.
Tracks, measures, and reports on all lines of coverage.
Maintain and ensure accurate compliance for FMLA, STD and Leave Management.
Partner with 3 party vendor to ensure COBRA compliance.
Assist with benefits analytics, reporting and system automation
Assist Payroll and Benefit Manager with compliance reporting and keeps abreast of regulatory changes affecting benefit plans and ensures company benefit plans and practices follow external regulatory requirements.
Supports the development and integration of new and/or existing rewards programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive, internally equitable, and cost effective.

Education and/or Experience.
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline preferred or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in benefit administration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3-5 years of benefit administration experience.
Comprehensive understanding of company offered benefits.
Advanced understanding of employee benefits plans, coordination of benefits setup within payroll systems, and ability to assist in implementation and rollout within an organization.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Experience utilizing UKG; preferred but not required.
Possess a strong understanding of office workflow.
Able to work independently and effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Polished and flexible interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve objectives.
Attention to detail and problem solver.
Bilingual preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
Sit, use keyboard, use fine manipulation with hands and fingers. Lift up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment
Clean, temperature-controlled environment. The noise level is low. No personal protective equipment needed.
