Crain Communications is looking for a dynamic Credit Administration Specialist to join our corporate accounting team. This position works closely with all members of Accounting and FP&A teams and works under the direction of the Controller. The successful candidate will assist both internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, helpful manner.
This position will work a hybrid schedule in our office in Downtown Detroit. The team is typically in the office 3 days per week.
Job Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email and video call.
Provide support and collaboration with Collections, Billing, and Sales Teams to resolve questions relating to outstanding invoices.
Manage the [email protected] customer mailbox and Crain Credit phone line.
Track incoming payments, including ACH, and credit card payments.
Apply payments accurately to customer accounts.
Respond to vendor questionnaire form requests.
Review and complete supplier registration forms accurately, ensuring all required information is provided
Lead initiatives to streamline the portal process, fostering collaboration and building strong support teams between billing and accounts receivables department.
Prepare and publish various accounts receivable reports including Accounts Receivable Aging.
Serve as back-up to the cash application process.
Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred with 1-3 years high volume corporate collections experience.
Knowledge of billing and collections procedures within a B2B environment a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Strong attention to detail, goal oriented.
Commitment to excellent customer service.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
Must possess a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational and professional skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both on paper and over the phone
Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, respectful manner and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships in a strong team environment.
Large ERP, AR and billing module experience; Naviga experience a plus.
This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay.
Pay Transparency Disclosure:
The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 - $53,000.
The final salary offering will take into accounta wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap. In addition to base salary, Crain also offers competitive benefits including retirement plan savings contributions and bonus opportunities based on individual and company performance.
