Cherry Republic, Inc. d/b/a Cherry Public House in Glen Arbor, Michigan, has opening for 4 full time temporary Servers, $18.21/hr ($27.32/hr O.T.) from 5/15/2025 to 10/31/2025. This is a tipped position so servers will earn $6.00 per hour plus tips or the wage set forth above. Duties include: Servers will provide excellent customer service to our customers at the restaurant through taking orders, bringing food and beverages to their table and ensuring they are having a positive experience. Duties include: serve food or beverages to patrons; clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining; prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware; give customers an enjoyable experience while upholding cherry republic values; follow all policies and assist with cleanliness and safety measures; prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs; operate a pos system / register in order taking and other necessary functions; adhere all health, safety, and sanitation standards within the restaurant; performing all cleaning duties to maintain a high standard; knowledge of all menu items and modifiers to offer proper recommendations to guests; knowledge of all allergens and how they are prevalent in all menu offerings; providing attentive service to all customers making them the top priority.
6 months exp. req. Able to stand for extended periods of time and able to lift and carry 25 pounds unassisted. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and the level of business. The employer is open 7 days per week. Employees will generally work 5 days per week, shifts include 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm; 10:30 am to 4:40 pm; 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm; 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm; 10:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Will receive rotating days off but must be available to work all shifts. Weekend work required. Approximately 35 hours per week with some overtime. The worksite is located at 6026 S Lake St. Glen Arbor, MI.

Workers are paid every two weeks. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law but will make no other deductions. Raises and bonuses available based on performance or length of service with employer. Employee discounts (40% in restaurant, 25% in retail store, 50% on clothing items).
Work tools, supplies and equipment will be provided without charge or deposit.
If required by prevailing law the employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees) incurred by the worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
The employer does not require workers to use company house however, on a voluntary basis the employer does make housing available at a cost to the worker of rental payments: $500 per month split into two installments of $250 per paycheck . If a worker rents housing from the employer, the employee will be asked to agree to have the rent deducted from their paycheck. The employer does not provide transportation to the worksites during the term of employment. Public transportation is available.
This job order, including its wage and working terms and conditions, is contingent upon prevailing legal interpretations of federal H-2B immigration and FLSA employment law, including Department of Labor and Department of Homeland Security regulations. If any such prevailing law is rescinded, superseded, vacated, or substantially modified, then the employer will accordingly revise any affected term.
