Job Description:
As a Manager, Strategy & Business Development, you will partner with cross-functional teams to help drive various aspects of our strategic priorities and initiatives. In addition, you will play an integral role in planning and integrating corporate strategies to support growth objectives while strengthening the business core to develop and maintain a competitive advantage.
Job Responsibilities
Champion organic strategy initiatives to drive growth and profitability
Drive M&A assessments to identify strategic fit and lead financial modeling on identified targets
Support strategic planning across the organization with aligned agenda and creating content to support Executive team and Board of Director's sessions
Lead cross-functional M&A integration teams to onboard new companies (people, process, and technology) into the SpartanNash family
Business intelligence projects to research, analyze and summarize macro trends, industry dynamics, retail and warehouse innovation and competitive dynamics
Present project findings to the executive team
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
7 years of experience leading cross-functional teams to define and execute growth initiatives in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong analytical skills to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives
Exposure to M&A assessment, diligence and integration a plus
Intellectual curiosity and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Self-starter with ownership mentality
Ability to collaborate across teams
Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel and PowerPoint most important)
