Express Employment is seeking a Crane Service Technician for a client in Howell, MI. The ideal candidate has a background as a Maintenance Electrician with experience in various kinds of controls (VFD) and electrical devices and systems.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, trouble shoot, and service crane equipment in house and onsite in the field.
• Execute plans of electrical wiring for cranes.
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, circuit, panels, etc.)
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring.
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
• Operation of lifts to perform repairs on job sites.
What we look for:
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems, crane experience preferred but not required with proven experience.
• Ability to use electrical and hand tools.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Diploma or certification in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
• Valid electrical license preferred but not required.
Projects:
• Dispatched daily by CRB
• Completing 1 to 2 man service jobs, mostly 1 man.
• Occasional overnight travel.
