Express Employment is assisting a local CNC manufacturing company in the Brighton area direct hiring a 2nd shift Cincinnati Centerless Grinder. The company engineers and manufactures wheels, rollers, conveyors, levelers, chain and much more for the steel industry!
Positions are Direct Hire with benefits for highly qualified candidates and evaluation to hire for anyone needing up training in this skillset. Pay rate : $20 - $25 hr
2nd shift schedule 3:15pm-11:45pm or 1:45am with overtime, training on first shift 2 weeks to 2 months 7am-3:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to set up, program, select work holding, tooling, and run intermediate parts.
- Reads job package, job card, traveler, and blue prints for product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, batch size, and tooling instructions.
- Selects, aligns, and secures work holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on Cincinnati Grinder.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speeds and feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Measures work piece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gages.
Requirements:
- Possession of a high school diploma or successful completion of the General Educational Development Test is desired.
- Six months to one year relevant CNC Grinding experience is required.
- Prior experience in a CNC manufacturing facility is desired.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blue prints, basic reading and writing skills are required.
- Must have a good understand of basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to identify and have a working knowledge of various materials such as steel, brass, etc.
- Must be comfortable working with various shop equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gages, dial indicators, hand tools, collets, etc.
- Must be able to work well with co-workers and supervisors.
