Platform Predictive Logistics Specialist
About the Role
The function of this position is to provide technical expertise and support for Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Technologies for our Combat Vehicles. This position will be part of our Digital Systems Software Engineering (DSSE) team.Ourmission is to investigate, develop, and demonstrate PdM capabilities for GDLS vehicle platforms. The team works as part of a cross-functional team with responsibility and authority to deliver PdM capabilities and associated software products with the goal of integrating and testing them at the subsystem and vehicle level.

Hybrid or onsite:
Due to the nature of the work, this role requires on-site presence up to 100% although some remote work may be available each week.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role
Collaborate with engineering and operations team to develop software applications
Implement and manage PdM applications and associated databases.
Support collect and analyze data from various sensors and systems to identify potential equipment failures.
Support data analysis and predictive models
Prepare and maintain documentation related to PdM activities including predictive analytics, maintenance and reports on system performance and issues.
Provide technical support for the installation, configuration, and maintenance and updating of PdM tools and software systems and equipment.
Continuously improve predictive maintenance processes and technologies through research and innovation to stay updated with latest technologies and best practices.
Occasionally travel alongside our customers to deploy our apps.
Demonstrate applications in front of live audience.
Qualifications Sought
Must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year university or college with a discipline in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineer or similar.
Minimum of 5 years experience in applications development
Technical skills
Proficient in programming languages and framework to include Python (Python 3, Pip, pylibpcap), XML, PHP, Qt, and Git
Proficient with web development (HTML, CSS, XSLT, JavaScript.) including dashboards and analytics.
Proficient with object-oriented programming languages (C#, Java, C++, etc.)
Experience with managing databases to include MySQL, Putty, Wireshark, Oracle DB, GCC, Telegraf, InfluxDB, Chronograph, Kapacitor, OpenSSL, and PostgreSQL.
Experience with Network & Server administration to include Linux (Linux Bash/Terminal (RHEL based), Yum, Vim, SSH, SFTP), Linux CLI, Putty, SSH, SFTP and DNF
Experience with mobile app development (iOS, Android, Windows) including multi-platform development with UWP and Xamarin
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software technologies related to PdM systems.
Familiar with database and/or data warehouse design
Familiarity with data collection and processing data from various sources (e.g. sensors, database).
Strong data analysis skills and experience with machine learning algorithms.
Documentation - ability to create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
Defense Industry knowledge
Awareness of relevant regulations and standards affecting the maintenance and reliability.
Soft skills
Strong verbal written communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
Problem solving and analytical skills to identify issues, troubleshoot problems and find solutions.
Time management - ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Certifications
Certifications in programming languages to include C++, python, Java (Preferred)
