Role Description:
INTERNSHIP TITLE: Cellular and molecular pharmacologist
Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Internship Summary:
To help characterize and establish in vitro Neurobiology assays using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). Characterization of iPSC's by establishing functional in vitro assays, RNA quantification and immunofluorescent staining techniques.
Internship Job Duties:
Perform cell culture using aseptic techniques.
General lab functions; routine maintenance and upkeep of the lab.
Experimental design and execution of characterizing iPSC's
Document all experimental procedures and results.
Literature review
Data analysis and presentation
Internship Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. degree with focus on Neurobiology and/or Cell Biology.
Cell Culture technique and aseptic technique
Experimental design
Standard laboratory skills (pipette usage, good math skills and general lab equipment usage)
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and analytical skills

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $16.00 per hour
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $20.00 per hour
If the selected candidate is a student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $32.50 per hour
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $36.00 per hour
