We're searching for a highly skilled and experienced leader to serve as Director of OneStream Administration. This role will oversee the administration of the OneStream platform, lead the development and implementation of new functionality and enhancements, and develop and mentor a high-performing team.
The number one objective of this position is to develop a team, processes, documentation, and enhancements that improve user experience while driving efficiencies in the finance processes supported by the platform.
The position also requires partnering closely with Accounting and FP&A teams to plan, execute, and administer month-end close, forecast, and budget routines. The successful candidate will also identify and implement enhancements that automate processes, drive efficiency, and enable self-service capabilities for end users.
Providing support to a global organization will require flexibility, including off-hours support during critical financial close and reporting activities.
This role will also include creating formal succession plans, providing clear career paths for team members, and minimizing the impact of team turnover.
The role will report to the Executive Director, Finance Technology, and champion the adoption of OneStream across the enterprise.
A hands-on working style is essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Platform Administration
Manage and maintain the OneStream platform, ensuring system stability, performance, and availability.
Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and enhancements with internal stakeholders and third parties.
Oversee user roles, permissions, and security settings.
Collaborate in the development and management of the OneStream platform roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and evolving business needs.
Team Development & Leadership
Develop and mentor team members to build technical and professional skills.
Create formal succession plans for the administration team, providing a clear career path to ensure talent retention and minimize turnover impact.
Directly manage a team responsible for operating the platform while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Partnership & Process Management
Partner closely with Accounting and FP&A teams to plan, execute, and administer month-end close, forecast, and budget routines.
Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline key financial processes, improving accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
Implement and promote self-service capabilities to empower end users while reducing administrative bottlenecks.
Development & Optimization
Lead the design, development, and testing of new OneStream solutions to enhance financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and other critical processes.
Drive automation efforts to minimize manual work and increase efficiency.
Optimize existing applications, workflows, and dashboards for improved efficiency and user experience.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation of the application to ensure continuity and knowledge retention.
Participate in user groups and external routines to stay informed about industry trends and best practices for leveraging OneStream.
Training & Support
Continuously improve fundamental user training (OneStream ABC's) to enhance the onboarding experience for the Finance organization.
Provide technical support and training to end users, ensuring adoption and effective use of the platform.
Instruct and teach team members and users, leveraging a deep expertise in OneStream.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including integrations with ERP systems.
Manage user issues via Help Deck functionality. Drive issues to completion in a timely manner. Provide regular reporting of performance to Finance and IT leadership organization.
Collaboration & Strategy
Partner across Finance, IT, and other business units to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes.
Serve as the primary liaison with OneStream support and other third parties.
Drive strategic initiatives to improve financial processes and enhance decision-making capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Computer Info Systems or related field.
Experience:
7+ years of hands-on experience in OneStream administration, development, or implementation
Experience directly managing a team responsible for operating platforms and executing continuous improvement activities.
Expert knowledge of financial consolidation, financial planning (forecast, budget) processes, management, and external reporting requirements.
