Join our team! The City of Kentwood is hiring a Therapeutic Recreation Intern and Fieldworker in the Parks and Recreation Department. Fieldworkers will typically work 20 hours per week. Interns will work 40 hours per work.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $15.00. The City of Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department offers exciting perks for seasonal and irregular part-time employees. Certain employees will also receive free CPR training through the city.
Main responsibilities for this role include providing therapeutic recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities and seniors (ages 50+) during the summer months in Kentwood parks. Staff members will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate adaptive and senior sports, games, enrichment, and recreational activities
Our ideal candidate will be currently working towards a major in Therapeutic Recreation or similar program, one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or seniors, and have a valid driver's license, please view the full job description and requirements for more details.
