Summary /Objective
Moves freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using other equipment.
Essential Functions

- Transfer all work in process and raw materials from department to department safely while maintaining a productive work flow.
- Identify and label all materials before distribution throughout the plant.
- Ensure adequate materials are present for each machine/department before they are in need of it.
- Replace chip/scrap bins for the machines when they are 90% full.
- Maintain an organized material storage through the entire plant. Square and 90
- Maintain daily preventative maintenance on lift truck as well as kept it to 5S standards.
- Assist the shipping department with shipping/receiving needs.
- Ensure maintenance of 3 jobs at each machine whenever possible while maintaining focus of safety.
- Maintain consistent communication with the shipping department for materials that need to be dispersed out into the plant for production and storage.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard production and mechanized equipment such as forklifts, handcarts, pallet trucks, overhead cranes, etc. The job requires incumbents to maintain a physical condition capable of bending, twisting, standing and walking for long periods, and lifting items up to 75 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. This position is assigned to either a day or evening shift. Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires a negligible amount of travel.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Overall computer literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Six months experience in shipping, receiving or general labor position in a manufacturing environment
