Job Summary:
The Sr. Electrical Engineer will create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations. Responsibilities may include assisting with model formulations and manufacturing/development cost estimates as well as assisting in the production, modification, and evaluation of electrical transformers, control panels and power supplies.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Prepare electrical drawings of the transformer and part related documents in accordance with customer specifications and established formats.
• Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, customer specifications, documents, and reports.
• Consult with engineering team to ensure the criteria are suitable for the proposed application and meets customer requirements.
• Prepare design calculations, product or system layout, detailed drawings, schematics, and purchase orders for special components.
• Provide technical support to the customer.
• Prepare control panel schematics wiring diagrams, and layouts.
• Demonstrate knowledge for proper selection of transformer accessories.
• Prepare specifications of purchase of accessories.
• Assists with testing various transformers and automatic data capture.
• Prepare test plans and instructions in accordance with industry standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and advancements in transformer design and manufacturing.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Proficiency in using design software like optimized program services and AutoCAD Electrical
• Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related field, required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in transformer design.
• Programming experience such as PLC programming preferred, but not required.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Medium and Low voltage transformer design.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Able to navigate and traverse the production floor to observe and assist with manufacturing and testing.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
