Position Overview:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide direct patient care in either a home setting or
healthcare facility, demonstrating compassion, patience, and empathy in all interactions. Under the
guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will work collaboratively with the broader healthcare team to
ensure that each patient receives the highest standard of care and services.
Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral care.
• Help clients with mobility and positioning, including transferring from bed to chair, walking
assistance, and use of mobility aids.
• Measure and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) and
report changes to the supervising RN or Care Manager.
• Ensure patient safety during activities of daily living and provide assistance in preventing falls or
accidents.
• Assist clients with taking prescribed medications as directed by a nurse or physician, ensuring
correct dosages and times.
• Assist clients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring that they receive proper nutrition and
hydration.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and
well-cared for.
• Accurately document daily care activities, changes in patient condition, and other relevant
information in patient charts as required by company policies and healthcare regulations.
• Follow infection control protocols, including hand hygiene, proper use of PPE, and proper
disposal of waste.
• Assist clients with transportation to medical appointments or social activities as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA certification in the state of Michigan.
• Previous experience as a CNA in a home healthcare setting or long-term care facility preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and personal care techniques.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs) as necessary.
