S and L Landscape LLC, is seeking to fill ten (10) temporary, full-time peakload Landscaping Worker positions for April 1, 2025 to December 15, 2025. Worksite: 14184 22 Mile Rd., Shelby Township, MI 48317 and multiple properties in Wayne, Macomb, Lapeer, and Oakland counties.
Job Duties: Landscape and lawn maintenance, plant trees and shrubs, install sod, mulch and rock. Spring and Fall clean-up, such as removing leaves and debris from landscaping beds, pruning shrubs and perennials, removing weeds and applying mulch to landscaping beds. Spring and fall clean up tools may include rakes, blowers, shovels, pitchforks, wheelbarrows, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and hand pruners. May drive crew vehicles. Install mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units, such as retaining walls.
Requirements: No education or experience required.
Special Requirements: Must be able to perform physical labor outdoors for up to 8 hours per day in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow and rain. Some OT and weekends required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Terms and conditions of employment: $18.99/hr, 40 hours/week, Overtime available at $28.49 per hour. Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-6:00PM. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employees will be paid weekly on Friday. Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. On the job training available. Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Workers will travel daily from the worksite address in 14184 22 Mile Road, Shelby Township, Michigan, 28317, to commercial and private properties throughout Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland Counties to perform landscaping services. Workers will be returned to the worksite address at the end of the work day.
The employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law and no others without written consent from worker. The employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions. Potential elective deductions to be pre-authorized in writing if applicable are as follows: if requested, employer helps non-local workers secure optional worker-paid lodging. Employer deducts reasonable fair market value cost of rent/utilities based on number of occupants for workers electing to reside in employer-provided housing, up to $100 per pay period. No daily transportation to/from workers' home and primary worksite. Employer to provide first set of company shirts, sweatshirts, jackets free of charge. Option to purchase additional uniform clothing which can be deducted from payroll.
The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the US or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Tools, equipment and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.
