THE STARTING RATE OF PAY FOR A SNOW LABORER THIS SEASON IS $20.00 PER HOUR BUT COULD GO UP FROM THERE BASED ON PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS YOU HAVE.
Snow Season positions are Seasonal, Part-time, ON-CALL & OVERNIGHT positions for most Branches, though there could be more hours for some Branches depending upon service contracts. You will not likely start work until the first measurable snowfall of the year that cannot be handled by the full-time crew we retain all year, so there could be a significant period of time between receiving and accepting an offer of employment before you start working.
As a company, we use E-Verify; which means, you MUST have the actual documents required to prove your right to work in the US in order to interview and receive an Offer of Employment.
The only requirements for this role are the ability to reliably commute to the Branch, Authorization to Work in the US (physical documents required to prove, we use E-Verify), the Physical capability to do the job and being able to report in an on-call manner, to the Branch for work when contacted and asked to do so. Also, please note: This is hard, physically demanding work in extreme temperatures, often OVERNIGHT and for 4-12 hours at a time. This is not work for the faint of heart, so please consider all of this before applying.
Interviews could start as soon as Late October, though there has been no firm timeline shared by this branch at this time, this is just an estimate based on previous years recruiting notes.
