Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Mechanic Days
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
A Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for performing work involving two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of a building in repair. Duties may involve repairing basic electrical or mechanical equipment, installing new equipment, or repairing buildings. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, or other preventive maintenance actions.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
- Provide groundskeeping service, such as landscaping and snow removal.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Operate various hand tools and other equipment necessary to perform job duties.
- Maintain and inspect different components in a building, such as heating, plumbing, etc.
- Maintain and repair vehicles like fork trucks.
- Notify supervisor/manager concerning the need for repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Able to read written instructions.
- Related maintenance certifications preferred, but not required.
- Complete Bandit’s crane and/or forklift or other safety trainings may be required
- Electrical background required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Frequently lift 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift 60 pounds
