Role Overview:
The General Program Assistant serves as a key support professional for the agency, ensuring efficient administrative operations and delivering impactful communication strategies. This role is vital in promoting the agency’s mission and core values of compassion, communication, accountability, and empowerment, while building meaningful connections with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provides administrative support to the Assistant to the President and other members of the leadership team, including the central purchasing of office and facility supplies for all EightCAP offices and centers, mail and other tasks as needed.
- Strategic Communication and Branding: Assists with the implementation and production of communication materials. Creates content for social media, newsletters, press releases, and other platforms to engage stakeholders as directed by the Assistant to the President.
- Travel Coordination: Manage travel logistics for the President and Board, ensuring efficient and cost-effective arrangements.
- Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality standards in all matters related to leadership support and agency operations.
- Optimist Camp Support: Provide administrative assistance for Optimist Camp operations as needed.
- Support agency-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in administrative and/or communications roles, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused setting.
- Licenses: Valid Michigan driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Classification: PA01-03 ($17.44 - $18.60 - $19.68)
Hours: 40 per week
