Lead the implementation of IT development and maintenance projects within the assigned IT zone, including seven sites in the U.S. and one in Canada. Accountable for all IT operations and activities of assigned zone. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company’s practices, products, and services. Ensure the IT strategy is properly set up for zone area, applying the group IT policy and standardize practices. Manage local IT security, identifying possible security risks and developing comprehensive strategies to mitigate them. Provide local support to IT activities, guaranteeing a high level of service. Direct projects aimed at building and expanding the company’s IT capabilities. Anticipate IT and business needs and preemptively develop strategies to address them. Analyze assigned zone’s IT operations and report relevant information to the Central IT Department, collaborating with them to further improve zone’s IT capabilities. Ensure IT zone has the resources it needs to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve all IT issues. Responsible for the delivery of high performing service support functions, prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time. Manage specialized IT projects for assigned IT zone. Analyze company-wide IT initiatives and tailor them to address the needs and limitations of assigned zone. Build and monitor the expense and Capex budget of the IT zone. Manage IT team (infrastructure, application) and all IT related third party. Manage 4 employees.
LOCATION: 251 Industrial Park Road, Amasa, MI, 49903. Travel Required: Up to 25% across the U.S. and Canada. May live anywhere in the U.S. with travel to various unanticipated locations. May work remotely.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT Communications Networks, Computer Science, or a related field, or the foreign degree equivalent, and 3 years of relevant experience such as a Senior System Administrator, IT Support Specialist, Project IT Manager, or alternate related acceptable occupation.
Work or academic experience must have included:
- Establishing and standardizing IT procedures across an international group, including assimilating new acquisitions, and streamlining the use of IT across multiple corporate entities.
- Network design and administration, including firewalls, switch, and Wi-Fi networks; and establishing connections between multiple sites.
- System administration including Windows administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Terminal servers, legacy operating system maintenance Windows server 2003, and SQL 2000, Linux distribution and IOS.
- Supporting business critical applications such as legacy Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) Verticent, Navision 2009 and Navision 2013R2 and reporting software as JetReports, Adaptive Planning and PowerBI.
- Implementing and configuring manufacturing IT tools such as Manufacturing Execution System (MES), label printers, barcode scanners, and assisting in deployment of various production machines and software.
- IT management including, organizing an IT team, managing a budget, establishing a roadmap, managing projects, overseeing the helpdesk, and building an international relationship.
- Implementing and maintaining cybersecurity tools such as Endpoint Detection Response.
