SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist is a professional who will be involved in all areas of the talent team by handling administrative tasks such as drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, assisting with new hire onboarding, and maintaining candidate databases. This role will also be highly involved in the training and development aspect of talent, such as administering the learning management system, a lead planner for talent programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support talent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
Administers the learning management system including the maintenance of training records, training resources/materials, and point of contact for providing troubleshooting support to employee base.
Generates and maintains records for data tracking and metrics reporting as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and department heads to align talent objectives and priorities.
Coordinates and assists with designing, facilitating, and presenting training.
Event planning for in-person and virtual learning events/activities
Supports performance management initiatives as needed.
Administers programs such as MFG Day, the Internship program, and the Scholarship Program
Assists with planning and organizing community involvement and outreach.
Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities for the corporate office and at other locations as needed.
Develops printed and electronic talent department communications internally and externally to support the talent goals and objectives.
Administers online employee/applicant tracking software (ADP RM) and coordinates the process. Point of contact for troubleshooting issues with the RM.
Acts as liaison with ATS system vendor on system updates, new function testing and roll outs.
Assists with screening candidates, then moving those qualified and interested to the interviewing phase by reporting that information to the HR managers.
Supports Hiring and HR Managers with hard to fill roles, by providing recruiting options and support.
Acts as liaison for the HR Managers with Recruiting agencies for hard to fill positions.
Develops job descriptions and maintains job description database for all positions in the US.
Maintains, analyzes, and reports data/metrics of active and filled requisitions and candidates.
Check corporate office candidate references, submit background requests, and new hire drug testing.
Administers Talent Pool accounts (Ex: LinkedIn Recruiter, State Talent Banks etc.), Company Careers page, and other external job posting sites.
Responds to general inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Develops print and electronic recruiting communications internally and externally to support the talent teams goals and objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in human resources or a related field and four years of human resource experience; or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
