What you'll do:
Take an active role in the ongoing transfer of Cytiva's Resin manufacturing department to establish the manufacturing methods for the Muskegon site,
Lead the implementation of new equipment, operating procedures, safety systems and programs, and quality processes for the department, in accordance with Cytiva Policy
Manage, coach, and develop associates; delegating work throughout the team
Work with the Manufacturing manager to ensure EHS and DBS culture is implemented in the department and measures are taken to reach departmental goals.
Who You are:
Bachelor degree from an accredited University or College in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or applicable.
5+ years experience working in manufacturing required with 1+ years of previous working experience as a people leader in manufacturing; preferred to have knowledge of PSM
Possess strong problem solving skills to troubleshoot process issues and resolve them at the root cause level
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates
Basic understanding of ISO9001 and an understanding of the role manufacturing has in adding quality to its products. Basic understanding and previous experience working in a work environment highly focused on safety.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently move, lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 30 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift/move weights greater than 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to continuously stand or walk as well as frequently climb stairs; occasionally squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, pivot, and reach.; occasionally use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, finger, handle, and feel small objects.
May be required to pass hearing and/or vision tests to obtain equipment licensure for safe operation of equipment (i.e. scissor lift, fork truck, etc.)
