Job Title: Quality Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our metal stampings meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a Tier 1 automotive facility and a strong experience in stamping operations.
Responsibilities
Supervise Quality Leader and Quality Technicians to ensure parts are free of defects (12+ Technicians).
Oversee quality techs and auditors.
Create schedules for all shifts and authorize overtime hours, ensuring continuity between shifts.
Handle scheduling for shifts, attendance, discipline, hiring, and firing.
Assist in the development of corrective actions, training, and coaching.
Back up various department positions as needed.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with other quality departments, including PPAP, CMM, and Audits.
Essential Skills
2+ years as a Supervisor in a Tier 1 automotive facility.
5+ years of experience in a stamping facility (as a quality tech or supervisor) for automotive.
Proficient in creating schedules and authorizing overtime hours.
Blueprint reading skills.
Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and gages.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Experience with GD&T, quality checks, final inspection, auditing, and gauge supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in continuous improvement and quality audits.
Ability to assist in the development of corrective actions and training.
Strong supervisory skills.

Work Environment
This is a stamping environment that can be very loud and hot during the summer. Employees must wear work boots, hard sole shoes, long pants, and no tank tops. Our facilities include Minster and Wayne Trail Stamping presses up to 1,000 tons, with progressive and transfer capabilities. We operate 10 press lines, 8 with PLCs and 2 with relay logic. Plant 1 and 3 handle all stamping operations, while Plant 2 is equipped with weld robots for spot welding and resistant welding, producing fasteners, studs, etc.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, Michigan.

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00
