EXECUTIVE OFFICE SPECIALIST

Position Summary:
Responsible for telephone service to parents, students, and the university community. Works independently to perform a variety of computer system updates, document management/data entry, and webpage updates which require a relatively high degree of decision-making and autonomy.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED .
Four years of qualifying experience or a combination of education and experience that equates to four years.
Experience with Microsoft Word.
Customer service experience.
Spreadsheet and/or database experience.
Organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to project a positive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results.
Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Computer and computer systems proficiency.
Ability to interpret and follow university policies and procedures.
Ability to interact effectively with constituencies (campus departments, students, parents, and outside entities).
Knowledge of and experience with MS Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to carry out routine administrative functions in an independent manner.
Demonstrated experience working with financial records.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists with web page updates.
Assists with Scholarship Universe platform updates and testing.
Assists with document management/data entry.
Schedules appointments for financial aid advisors.
Advises callers on federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations.
Assists OSFA with outreach activities (i.e. CMU & You Day, Centralis and Leadership Competitions, and other admission events).
Provides in-depth answers to most phases of the financial aid process.
Scan, organize, assign, and shred all documents received through Data Entry.
Performs other duties as assigned.
