In this Role:
Perform a variety of professional nail services, including manicures, pedicures, gel applications, and nail art.
Provide nail enhancements, such as acrylic and gel extensions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nail care techniques, trends, and products.
Conduct thorough consultations with clients to determine their nail care needs and preferences.
Offer professional advice on nail care and maintenance.
Adhere to all state of Michigan health and safety regulations.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are sanitized and maintained to the highest standards.
Follow spa protocols for sanitation and client safety.
Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience.
Address client queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Foster a welcoming and relaxing environment for all guests.
Promote and sell nail care products available at the Spa store.
Educate clients on the benefits and usage of nail care products.
Collaborate with other Team Member spa professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
Continuously update skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies.
All other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional training in Cosmetology preferred.
Must hold a valid Nail Technician license issued by the state of Michigan.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Nail Technician in a high-end spa or salon.
Proficient in various nail care techniques and services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Physical Requirements:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
Ability to sit in a nail station for a long period of time.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in the Salon area of the Spa, assigned to a nail station. Work areas may be warm, cold, or bright and may contain second-hand smoke. Chemical odor may be present from the use of nail products. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
