Mid Michigan Leadership Academy is currently hiring a full time Assistant Lead Cook.

Mid-Michigan Leadership Academy is seeking a dedicated and energetic Lead Cook to join our school food service team. This position is essential for providing nutritious and delicious meals to our students, while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.

Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with HAACP standards and food safety regulations.

Assist in daily food service operations, including food storage, cooking, prepping and serving.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Monitor cooking and cooling time-temperature control to ensure food safety.

Assist with inventory management.
Qualifications:
-
Serve Safe Certification is required.
-
Prior experience in school food service or a similar setting is preferred.

Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, including HAACP.

Ability to bend, stretch, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods on concrete floors.

Must have dependable transportation.

Excellent communication skills and a strong work history.

Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication) for inventory and production records.

Self-motivated, quick learner, and energetic with a love for working with children.

Organized and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Able to pass a Criminal Background Check
