Description
As a Controls Project Engineer, you will utilize your technical expertise to design & program various automation projects. As a member of a project team, you'll work alongside our Applications, Mechanical and Skilled Trades to design, build, program, and deploy custom automated equipment and solutions for every application, process, and industry.
What You'll Do:
Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
Uses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments.
Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features.
Leads teams and influences project/platform direction and progress.
Viewed as a technology leader.
Actively propagates culture within the company.
Possesses exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Routinely interacts with organization leaders, clients, customers, contractors, and others.
Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers or other organizations and companies.
Demonstrates skills in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
Travel to customer sites & other JR locations up to 25%.

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field OR associate degree (2-year) with experience from accredited program (ABET/EAC). Bachelor's degree preferred.
Intermediate understanding of electrical circuits, electrical panel design,pneumatic design, hydraulic design, PLC's, HMIs, and robotics.
Ability to demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, as well as Google Applications (such as Gmail, Calendar, and Docs).
Ability to work onsite within the offices or at customer locations as required.
Ability to meet deadlines without endangering the safety of himself/herself or others, or the integrity of the equipment.
Ability to interact professionally with customers, and maintain a positive working relationship, which at times may be under difficult circumstances and/or high-pressure situations.
