General Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations) Buyer to join our procurement team. The MRO Buyer is responsible for implementing data collection processes and reporting findings to the MRO Analyst and MRO Senior Buyer. Has direct vendor and plant (customer) contact to resolve issues and drive savings opportunities. Has direct role in data mining plant invoices for analysis by MRO Analyst and Senior Buyer. Works under the general direction of the Senior Buyer - MRO; follows pre-established guidelines to meet expectations and exercises discretion and judgment on work priorities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Extracts data from vendor invoices and reports findings to MRO Senior Buyer and Analyst
Maintains supplier relationships and monitors performance level
Maintains frequent communications with suppliers and plant customers to ensure efficiencies in information gathering (product and spend analysis).
Inspect and verify the quality and specifications of the received materials and equipment.
Maintains all tracking documents/spreadsheets for MRO/consumable items.
Aids in development of reports and compiles pricing information for contract analysis/comparison.
Aids in preparation of various reports and correspondence on a regular basis.
Assists in processing reports, documents, and purchases in timely manner.
Assists in assigned special projects.
Performs other duties as required.
Job Specifications
Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years procurement experience (MRO preferred)
Knowledge of MRO materials, equipment, and services
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Skills and Abilities
Proficient use of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to interact with all organizational levels and the public/international culture differences.
Demonstrated proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette.
Ability to perform basic metric and standard math equations.
Ability to use a computer.
Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking.

Working Conditions
