Maintenance for Manufacturing Facility
Summary:
Assist the maintenance department with routine repairs, installations, construction and replacement of equipment. Perform simple facility maintenance duties under supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Not limited to but including the following:
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Relocate Equipment as directed
- Remove, move or process scrap material in scrap area
- Work under the direction of Maintenance Leader
- Assist team members in the department
- Document status of repairs to machinery and equipment
- Perform minor repairs to equipment to include gauges, motors, valves, pressure regulators, on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Perform facilities maintenance duties which include but are not limited too, electrical simple carpentry, painting, and minor plumbing
- Ensure that maintenance shop tools and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Secure necessary protective devices and observe work to ensure that safety practices are followed according to OSHA standards
- Remove snow from walkways and fire exits in winter months
- Maintain the outside around the facility during Michigan's four seasons.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
