JOB TITLE: Caregiver
SUMMARY:
Participates in activities of Preschool and Center to provide instruction and care for children. Assist with parents regarding facility activities, policies and enrollment procedures. Collaborate with staff regarding children behavioral and/or learning problems. Assist Program Director and/or Lead Caregiver in implementing methods of modifying inappropriate behavior and encouraging learning experiences. Assist in the evaluation of facility activities to ensure conformance to state and local regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct care for a specific group of children and overall care and supervision of children. Must be available to cover and fill in the absence or tardiness of a staff. Assist with program improvement activities. Other duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or Owner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to meet the requirements of Staff as outlined by the State of Michigan-Department of Human Services-Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a Central Registry Search as required by the State of Michigan-Department of Human Services-Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing
- Knowledge of child care licensing regulations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff and outside agencies
- Must be able to successfully pass a medical examination including chest x-ray and/or medical test as required by the State of Michigan-Department of Human Services-Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification as required by the State of Michigan-Department of Human Services-Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing
