Set-up Machinist
Proformance Pros seeking a Set-up Machinist with the following qualifications and responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in CNC
- Extensive knowledge of CNC machining centers, work holding, and tooling
- Experience fixturing, work holding, and tool selection for part-projects
- Proficient with geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
- Automotive experience is a plus
- Comprehension of technical drawings/GDT
- Applied math
- Measuring equipment
Responsibilities:
- Ability to set up and operate 3-axis machining centers
- Ability to set up and operate CNC Lathes
- Checking and maintaining coolant and lube levels
- Maintain work area and equipment and follow prescribed safety procedure
- Ensure finished parts meet tolerances, quality and functional criteria as expected
- Other responsibilities may be added or assumed based on necessity
Environmental:
- May require long periods of standing
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate-to-high noise, fumes, and airborne particles
- Lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively
Full-Time
- Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)
- Schedule 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM M-F, subject to overtime and situational requirements

Pay is commensurate with experience
