Description:
Under general supervision prepares financial and business related analysis in the area of finance and general accounting. This position will support finance in preparing financial statements, budgets and forecasts and supporting revenue and sales analysis by gathering and analyzing data for various reports. Takes initiative and continually strives to improve processes.
This position largely on site and the ideal candidate will reside in the West Michigan region with remote work opportunities.
What the Financial Analyst will need:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Business, Healthcare Administration or Engineering; or other Bachelor's with relevant healthcare experience.
Preferred: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), Master of Science in Accounting (MSA), Master of Engineering (MEng) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
1-3 years' experience in related field.
Solid computer knowledge with demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office and database management.
Interpersonal skills required to interact and foster relationships with all levels of customers in the organization.
Understanding of basic statistics and ability to integrate information from multiple sources.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Time management and organization skills, permitting the effective execution of several concurrent projects and priorities
What the Financial Analyst will do:
Under general supervision, performs moderately complex analyses.
Assists in preparation of annual budget and monthly forecasts.
Assists in monthly financial close including preparation of various journal entries, account reconciliations, inter-company transactions and variance analysis.
Prepares revenue and cost analysis.
Prepares monthly revenue gain/loss schedules.
