General Statement of Responsibilities:
Provide electrical support to the plant machinery and equipment.
Specific Duties:
Troubleshoot electrical problems.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical control systems, wiring setups, and lighting systems.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
Assist in moves, and installs machinery.
Responsible for the start up and shutdown of specific plant machines and equipment.
Participate in process improvement.
Maintain housekeeping in the department in order to facilitate a neat, safe, and orderly work environment.
Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Assist management as appropriate, to ensure all environmental and safety regulations as well as best practices are met and/or exceeded. Ensure the proper segregation and labeling of all waste products and recyclables, and ensure waste minimization is practiced wherever possible. Adhere to all plant safety rules.
Position Requirements:
Ability to be licensed and drive a powered industrial truck.
Ability to work all shifts.
Ability to work overtime when necessary.
Experience:
Eight (8) years of electrical experience and/or UAW Electrician Journeymen.
Previous experience in an manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills:
Blueprint reading.
Knowledge and use of precision gauging equipment.
Knowledge of machine tool operation, machine design and operation.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals preferred.
Ability to work in a team or individual environment.

Ability to wear a respirator and adhere to all lead regulations.
